Desiresolution: real proof of efficiency

It’s a real proof of the world is inferior to you when you are sitting under a clear night sky, wish something and immediately you notice a star falling :)

Amigdalove

Benefits of emerging non-real corporate issues by utilizing our most valuable grand-prize motor:

It’s a common phenomena or manifestation introduced by Pareto, that 80% of the issues generated in the everyday life of the corporate world are only some irrelevant spin-offs of the core projects. Most of us only use these to create the fake illusion of effectiveness by spawning these microbursts of problem-solution pairs.

To sum up in one short sentence:

“The virtual issues sublime away fast, like poo in the burocratic multi-national corporate storm but the dopamine we receive for the success is real.” -me

Kudos to the most fun part of the brain, the amigdala!

Do you happen to have a windscreen wiper?

Just had a visual on a post saying that due to Martian winds, the dust is being blown off Spirits solar panels. So now, it’s able to work 1.5 hours / day instead of the previous 50 minutes. It reminds me to the infamous case, when one of the Mars landing probes failed, because someone had forgotten to convert some units to US standards. Just being weird not been able to think about that when designing that Mars rover.

Ultimate Meaning Of Life

Douglas Adams formed this thought (42) in a really brilliant way in one of his most popular novels.

Summing and generalizing it up in one question:
The problem with the ultimate truth is not the “what is it” part, but rather the “what I’m going to do with that” part.

The Problem of Goals

Genetics define your personality, social and parental influence installs it into the environment, and finally your sum of information gathered in the most important years would define your ultimate goals for your life.
Those may be revised by time to time when forgotten or achieved but the very nature of forming new ones would never change because of the basic immutability of human nature.

The way you reach your goals depend on your tools born with or developed by you. And if those only let you to make achievements step by step with incredibly slow and small results you would suffer.

Therefore no one ever dare to say to another : “boy, that was your decision, so deal with it”.
Once again Schopenhauer said well: “We can do what we want, but we can not want what we want.”

Gap Time Relief

Why is this the right time for Israel to bomb the Hamas again?
New U.S. Administration ahead, the one to blame later for the crisis is off the stage and been prepared really good for the dumbs role.  Seems like the mess in the responsibility chain allows all small conflicts to escalate because the gap time relief never impeaches.

Living forever

I’m not afraid of dying, just of being dead. - Sándor Márai

I’d pull out a quite geek methapor as response: back in the days when I used to be a hardcore FPS player, there were maps I had to complete to progress to the next level. By time to time, for some reason - a flaw in the system, or badly designed map - I had stuck, and was not able to find a door, teleport, anything that would let me out from that became terribly boring and ugly set of mazes and rooms.  But there was a very nice feature in the game: one could restart the map hoping the bug wont happen again.
